2022 Battle of the Bay Power Soccer Challenge Is a Success

After not seeing our friends and competitors for two years, it was fantastic getting back on the court to play power soccer matches between seven Western Region teams of the United States Power Soccer Association. Tournament rules required us to collect vaccination evidence of 2 doses, plus a booster, if eligible, or a negative Covid test within 72 hours of the tournament start date, and for all attendees to wear a mask indoors, except for athletes on the court playing the game. Referees wore masks and officiated with electronic whistles. With these extra precautions in place, and a gym capacity limited to 49 people, we had over 140 attendees witness the fierce competition of this successful two day tournament.

The Steamrollers came away with four shutout wins, but the last game against the BORP Shockers was a post game forfeit, due to one of the Steamrollers testing too fast after the game on the new Speed Force Rolling Road Dyno, due to their motors heating up excessively during the play of the game. Here a few pictures from the games.

Thank you very much for their sponsorship to @Permobilcares, Pacific Power Soccer, USPSA, @powersoccerusa, and San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services, @sjparksandrec
